The phone feels solid and the camera seemed pretty decent. Still very Chinese not a Western phone by any means
Bummer it did not have root and I believe it may be while off before an easy root comes up for it.
I think it is a legit Inew never felt it was a knock-off
In the hands the V8 feels physically no different build quality wise than a western phone. That includes Samsung or any other main brand. I'm at a mall now comparing the V8 to Oppo N1 and N1 Mini. The V8 is easily the better looking phone from the back and just as solid.
It's very rare for a phone to come rooted. I've never received a pre-rooted phone. Regardless, root is easy. Flash the CWM and then flash super user, or root with vroot.
I do think it feels nice. I took the entire phone apart to do some investigating. Pretty much crap build quality. The external speaker is actually soldered to the board so there will be no replacing that unless you are very skilled at soldering 1/2 inch wire to a micro board.
I did get paypal to grant me the ability to send it back to China but I simply drove over it with my car. I know for a fact it will never arrive in China(will become lost at some point). I already lost $220 not about to throw away another $50.
I will never buy another Inew product.
Now onto my next gamble.
Super user is installed, Vroot would not do it as well as the other 4 or 5 rooting tools I tried, but I am no expert and flashing it is way out of my ability.
I've looked on the inside as well, quite nice actually and certainly no different build quality wise than any other plastic and silicon electronic product.
As gizbeat mentioned, you can root with vroot. I had to let it run for awhile and reset several times. Or flash CWM and root from there. Its easy. There are several tutorials.
But you already ran over it. :/ interesting you can tell the future and just know the phone would have disappeared and PayPal wouldn't have covered you.
Yea, better to not even try, just run over it I guess is the best solution. At least come up with something creative next time. Blend it or microwave it... : D
