I have the same problem with the gps. My phone is an feiteng h9500+ from geekbuying. Ones I had a fix but after a coupel of minutes the fix was lost. This was with the factory rom. I think it is a driver isue not the hardware.

You're wright, shipment cost excessive. I kept the phone and I managed to have a 30$ partial refund from seller.
