Not even close to the case. Only some generic clones and rare cases with a couple different models. And iNew for example may sell phones for rebranding.
They use the same SoC, yes. Same many more popular brands uses Qualcomm SoC. 720p and 1080p are common screen resolutions throughout most all modern mobiles. Same with 1gb and 2gb RAM or 16gb 32gb storage.
Regarding problems. All of my China phones have been nearly perfect. I don't buy cheap clones though either. As mentioned by dirknirk, all the way back to MT6016 SIM signal and WiFi have always been fine.
