Yes, it is fake, unfortunately.
Although, I have this phone too, and I like it very much (actually my wife but I am an Android guy here, so I deal with the phone on a more serious level). It is responsive, fast, this 1 GB of RAM is enough for quite decent multitasking.
Anyway - the "cheat" files responsible for fake readouts (not only RAM but other parameters as well - processor cores, frequency, resolution, etc.) are:
/system/etc/agold_cheat_evaluating_software. xml and
/system/etc/changeram.xml
You can edit them according to MKKLR21's post here -
After restarting the phone, it finally shows correct values. It still gives over 17000 points in Antutu tests, so it is a decent four-core phone for $170.
