You can try to write the IMEI with mtk droid tools. [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]

You should be rooted to do the procedure.

*enable USB debugging in developer options from Android settings
*Plug your phone to USB
*Start MTK droid tools
*click replace imei button and enter your imei from that box the phone came in or sticker under battery
