[Question] deodexed rom and update gapps?

Anyone already try deodexed rom? how about the performance impact? im thinking to backup original rom and deodexed the rom and perhaps update the gapps, as long as i can get custom recovery or cwm running on my mtk devices and thanks to this forum i learn alot about mtk based device. Anyways, regarding gapps how do some people create gapps packages? anyone have experience? im thinking to create one. since most mtk devices that i own use android 4.1.1 and 4.2.1 i really hard to find latest gapps package.
