Interesting... People in some forums are saying the opposite. They're experiencing extreme temperatures with the new official 4.2.1

I used this Jaynes ROM for a couple weeks, wifi on 24/7 and never felt it get warm.

You're right. With stock rom it's the same. Is it possible that drivers aren't working correctly. If switch off 3G and Wifi Battery works for three or four days. I think it's not the function of Wifi and 3G to keep the phone warm or hot.

The most likely reason the phone will get hot is if it's charging, or if the GPU or CPU are being used non-stop. As to the exact cause, I can't say. I've never experienced it with any ROM except the Lenovo ROM. It's easy to confirm. Just run a cpu stat in the background (I use Micro CPU Monitor... It's excellent).

Also, I might mention, it's not abnormal for a phone to get warm during normal use. Hot without excessive use or charging, yes that's a problem.
