normally it will never fail, just retry the procedure, and be really sure that you run the spflashtool.exe as administrator else it fails, you dont need Usb Debugging it is in serial over usb (vcom) modus, firmware upgrade must be selected before you insert the usb cable.. (requires in the right order, first select button, then insert battery then insert cable) dont touch any buttons on yout mobile, if it still fails try another usb cable

Mobile is switched off, battery is out, USB debugging is ON, PDANet is installed.
I select scatter file, start Firmware Upgrade, put battery in, connect USB and Flash Tools just not recognize it. It stays at 0% and "Searching". Phone only starts to charge..
