You're probably right, Giz, the lens could have been dirty. I also probably suck at handling and framing photos with this "phablet", but I don't think anything can help the color issue. Anyway, the camera is good enough for what I need it to do, which is be there on the occasion when I don't have my DSLR.

I'm crazy late to this thread, but that SLR photo is a bad basis of comparison. It just looks like an inexperienced photographer who doesn't understand their equipment yet.
As far as the i6000 photos go, they're pretty decent for what they are. I think the limiting factors on all these phones are the optics first and shooters second. Sensor sizes are awesome but fall short to the first two.

What ive noticed with taken pictures witjis phone is that the flash is delayed especially when ur taking pictures in a dark area. I wonder what could be modified to sync the flash and shutters better than they are ?
