[Question] ROM 6.x and difference from chinese and european device

Hi at all,

after a question on BBS/Innos about new release of ROM 6.X an user has posted this video and is about a device with that ROM.

Websites on the comment is Innos.com

....so..technically will be some difference from our devices that came from China and devices sell from Russia?...so will/should we install 6.x rom?

There's no difference between them. They are the same phone.

Who posted this video on Youtube says in russian that:

Release firmware to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is planned for summer 2016. It will have all instances of European / Russian version purchased at [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]. The Chinese version of the smartphone will not receive updates.

Then, in english:

Firmware with Android 6.0 Marshmallow is only for european/russian version of innos D6000. Chinese version of phone is not compatible with this firmware.

I hope it's not true and we will receive also updates.

There is still confusion about this anouncement. We still dont know for sure whether this version (6.0) is compatible or not with the Chinese D6000.

There are some other people that claim that the phones are basically the same.

So we dont know where the incompatibility lies.
I hope thats clarified soon.

There's no difference physically I think. I think they're saying it's not for China version because it will require flashing through PC (no OTA from China version). Maybe. I will try it if it comes out. This also could be bullshit, maybe someone just changed build.prop. There's nothing in the video that shows it's really Marshmallow that I saw (but I did skip around, so tell me if I'm wrong).

I use many phones. Some with 6.0 and some with 5.1, I notice virtually no difference. This obsession with having the latest Android version is a waste of time.

And, I agree...what a great summer!
