Managed to root the Commodore PET Smartphone (mt6752 based)
I have by no means done anything amazing here, just took a small risk trying.
Im not going to explain every singel step, there are numerous guides here on how to use the tools I used.
* Downloaded [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
* Unpacked the TWRP based Ecoo recovery.img with mtk-tools-master
* Used SP-Flash-Tool-v5.1532.0 to extract recovery.img from the PET
* Repacked with the TWRP based ramdisk from ecoo and the kernel from the PET into a new recovery.img
* Flashed the new recovery.img via fastboot
* Rebooted to system
* Used adb to install busybox (maybe just fetch from play store?)
* Downloaded UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip to external SD
* Rebooted to recovery
* Installed UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip via recovery (TWRP)
* Rebooted to system
* Rooted!
You can download my custom twrm recovery.img for the PET at needrom.

Its not fake just because you lack knowledge.
You are somewhat correct, I to failed to find a correct scatter so I created one from similar phones. I did not post my scatter because Im not sure what will happen if people start to use it to something else that to extract the original recovery.img from the PET.
If you want root and dont know how to create the scatter, fetch to recovery.img from needroom and use fastboot to flash it.

I've arrived at the point 3 but can't manage to extract the recovery.img
Also I can't find the download locations of the software you mention

As I wrote a post up, I created my own scatter file to extract to original recovery from the PET. I did this by looking at scatter files from similar phones, and alot of trial and error. If you want to do that, feel free to google around.
I will not give out my scatter, it is by no means complete and probably full of errors.
If you REALLY want root, download the PET recovery at needrom, link in first post and use fastboot to flash it. The reboot to you new recovery and flash SuperSU (I used 2.46).
YMMV!

Ok, I managed to go until the final step (flashing superSU)...
I got this error:
Code: Opening update package...
Error: Invalid OTA package, missing scatter
Installation aborted
Tried updating from SD and from adb sideload method, versions 2.46 and 2.49 of superSU, but still getting the same error.
I can't find any scatter named file in the superSu.zip.
I have a scatter file now, have I to put it in the superSU.zip or somewhere else?
thank you in advance

I have never seen that message.
Do you flash the SuperSU zip from the newly installed recovery?

yes i think is the new recovery because there are options to update and backup.
so:
1- I flashed the recovery
2- booted on recovery
3- tried to update from sd card superSU
Can you see something wrong i forgot?
Also... if in step 1 i had a wrong scatter maybe the problem?
after the error message I went in the recovery log section and there I saw in the logs the same scatter data i had, but is that from inside the system or is part of the recovery?
