okay, so... first, none of the rooting ways reset the device.
second, wireless update app comes with stock ROM, so it should be there. it's icon is a circle with three triangles in it. if you can't find it, you can try getting into recovery and flashing the file from the recovery. to get into recovery, when the phone is off, press volume up + power, hold until the screen lights up with options (recovery, fastboot, normal boot). then choose recovery with volume up, confirm choice with volume down. dead android with "no command" below appears on the screen. shortly press volume up + power - menu should appear. if it doesn't, then you're probably out of sync, try a few times till you get it. then choose "apply update from sdcard", choose the file and you're golden.
third. for the second manual to work (root by KlausMinator), you have to have OEM unlocking and USB debugging switched on in the Developer options.
fourth, guys, if you cannot get it working with the info provided, you should be very careful what you wish for - perhaps you should leave the idea of rooting your device. if you mess it up (and it is probable and very much possible), you'll be in a world of trouble

Before founding this thread, I've try a lot of things and I tried to flash a custom bootloader, that failed and now, I can't access to the recovery mode, I tried to do it from the phone options but same, just rebooting, have you an idea for fixing that?
Sorry, my English 's bad, I' m French so I do like I can.

To get into the recovery, try "adb reboot recovery" command.
And if you need help, please give more info as to what exactly you do and what the results are. I've already detailed the instructions far more than it is needed for someone familiar with rooting procedure to get it done, so I am not sure where you are stuck.

For explaining it rapidly, I've flashed my bootloader with a non appropriate bootloader and now, whatever how I try, I can't do updates from oukitel, I can't restore my phone from default settings and apps, and I can't root it with update.zip
I tried with adb reboot recovery and the ssme:the phone juste reboot..
Any idea for fixing that! :/

yeah you could try and flash stock boot.img from the recent Oukitel FOTA update package. if you cannot download it, here is the link.

It doesn't affect performance as per my knowledge, so I don't really care. Still strange though.
Well, I do not believe in miracles, but here we go - I tried rooting via this instruction:
using the exact file from the instruction, twice. First time with the original file, then had it renamed to "update.zip". Both times to no avail. Recovery reported invalid package and missing scatter.
Then a guy on another forum reported this file did root his device. So I tried for the third time, and guess what - it worked. Then I unrooted the device and tried it once more, having renamed the file to "update.zip". And once again, it worked. I don't even have words to describe what I feel
IT WORKED FOR ME FOR THE FIRST TIME! Thank you ;)
