[Question] how to permanently replace iemi no of mtk device??

Hey i restore / replaced my imei no of my mtk device using mtk droid tools... but once i flashed it with the official stock rom...
The imei no once again changes to its previous state...
And once again i changed it...
And chekes out the imei by dialing *#06# ...
And yes it is changed ...but when i boot into factory mode...
Where all the item tests pcba and mmi tests are held..
I notice that the imei no was still the old one..but on checking in the about section of my phone setting it is showing my new imei...
I know that it is illegal to change imei...
But i got best network performance on my device with my new imei...

Is there any way to permanently change the imei no of mtk6572 devicess....

Here is what i did with mine using CWM.

1. Boot the phone Normally and change your Imei to the one you want to change permanently using mobile uncle tools
   
2. Reboot your phone to recovery mode (from the mobile uncles menu)
   
3. Now in CWM, create a backup of system and data
   
4. After backup process completes, restore the files backed up [system and data] while still in recovery mode.
   
5. Your IMEI will become persistent even when u reset your device

thanks for your valuable answer but i have done it with Maui meta3g tool... because my device wasn't accepting the at+ code in mobile uncle tools or mtk engineering mode... but anyways thanks....
