Already filed a complaint. The real issue and I have ran into this before is paypal will not issue a refund if I can not prove it was delivered with signature confirmation.
USPS express tracks but they do not offer signature in China. UPS may but the cost is crazy. No DHL in the USA unless you are a business with an express account.
I once sent a package back to China and the package came back about 3 months later. When googling the address it almost appeared to be a bank address. Oh well the phone is way to big for me anyway. Will post up a video when I eventually take a sledge hammer to it.
Not going to buy a battery charger. I use my phone for sales and I need a way to charge in my car while I am driving
Thanks

I meant the battery charger as a method to test if it's the phone or the battery.
Also make sure you test a different outlet, AC adapter and USB if you haven't already.

Made a battery charger with some paper clips and an old power adapter. Battery charged well. Put in phone and the phone turned on. Plugged in a charger and phone shows as being linked and charging. Let phone sit for 30 minutes and the charge dropped to 7%.
Checked ohms with another plug I hacked up and there is no power getting to the battery plus side. Must be a broken diode in the charging system.
Going to try a factory reset but going to charge battery to 100% before I attempt. At this point since sending it back may not be an option probably going to take it apart and start testing circuits.
Keep ya posted.

Keep ya posted. Wow, Macguyver. You cant say you made a charger with paperclips and not show a picture of that.
Factory reset is very unlikely to fix this, but can't hurt to try I guess.
The innards of these things are very complicated. Everything is so miniaturized. Its quite beautiful really.
I would continue with PayPal. You're not saying you didn't receive the phone, you're saying the thing is DOA. A signature has nothing to do with that. Take video of the problem, show the package as recieved with tracking on DHL.

Made no difference and can also confirm no data.
No charge, no data.
This is even the new phone with 2G+16G
My issue with signature is when I send it back to China. Paypal requires signature confirmation when returning an item at least that is what I remember. Tracking may work but China is the black hole for returns. Either way this will take 6-8 weeks to get sorted. The seller does not need to respond until the end of the month. Then paypal will tell me to send it back and maybe get my money back.

First off, I'm sorry about your situation. That blows, man.

Second, your optimism above totally caught me off guard and made me laugh Diet Dew through my nose. Ha!
I just checked for the website owner, and they're using a service to keep that masked. Everything links back to "domains by proxy" out of Scottsdale, AZ, USA. If you can find a way to file a formal complaint against this company (or less formal by slamming them publicly on a FB/Yelp/G+ page or something), I think it's worth pursuing. As a best case, they'll see you're publicizing their nonsense and hurting their business -- then in turn issue you the refund they should have in the first place. As a worst case, someone else in the future might stumble across your comments and think twice before buying from these dudes.
I just really dislike slimy businesses. And this one, posing to be official-looking, hiding their identity, then being completely unhelpful to their customers.... that's pretty slimy in my book.
Again, sorry about your experience. I'm hoping you'll get lucky with some type of crazy firmware fix or something. And I'm double-hoping that Paypal will put the pressure on these guys (or maybe your credit card you used with Paypal), since they said they'd send you a working phone and ultimately did not do so.

I purchased my iNew V3 from inewmobile dot com and I'm pretty sure they are the official english site for inew. They were decent to deal with and I had no problems. Cheaper than anyone else and I assumed that since they were the manufacturers they would be easier to return to if I needed.
Can anyone confirm 100% that they are NOT associated with the manufacturer?
Excerpt from their site:
iNewmobile.com is official retail shop of iNEW Mobile

Does look identical to what was posted as the official site(in Chinese).
DHL just called and wanting to confirm the package was damaged. The seller is trying to pin it on DHL. The package was not damaged in anyway.
Seller did email to tell me to take the tape off the battery.

inewmobile.com they can put whatever they want on there. You can open a shop too and put that you're offical iNew site on there. No one will stop you.
