Had about 49% battery first time I turned it on. Set the phone up. Added a few apps all while having the plug charging at the same time. Never really got past 49%. Kept going down. Confirmed with another phone that the charger and cord works.
Then phone goes black. Been charging it for 6 hours still will not turn on.
Bought the phone right from Inew. Now I have a Chinese paper weight. Will cost almost $85 to ship to China from the states if I want to be guaranteed the phone actually gets delivered.
Have removed the battery, sim, etc.. and put back in. Anything that I am missing.

That sucks, man. I'm sorry.
It sounds like you didn't buy from any of our sellers. If you did, let us know and we might be able to help you out, otherwise you'll have to keep the pressure on your seller to honor their warranty.
Did you happen to notice if the phone was indicating it was charging while you had it plugged in? Through basic fault isolation the problem is either the charging circuit or the battery.
While I would just wish your phone would work correctly to begin with, one alternative is to buy a second battery and an external charger. Then you could battery swap AND it would mitigate against both failure modes. I know it's a non I've solution, but it does have its perks.

What do you mean you bought direct from iNew? What is the shop link you used?
Also, no way DHL or EMS will cost you $85 (maybe both ways, but not one way).
Also, make sure the tape is removed off the top of the battery. I know it sounds silly, but you'd be surprised how many people forget this and think they've got a bum phone.

I assumed was the actual inew website. Arrived fast since I paid for DHL.
As far as I know DHL only delivers. They do not have a place a consumer in the US can drop packages and ship to China. Only alternative is USPS Priority mail with tracking and signature confirmation padded envelope(that may work)is $46. Still steep since I will have to pay Inew to ship the phone back to me.
It did show a dead battery of 1% after 6 hours on the charger. Tape is off the battery.
It's Dead. Can't seem to buy the battery separate. I have tons of chargers and usb cables.
Waiting to see if the vendor replies. I may try to buy a battery if I can find one, but I have shipped items back to China before for a repair. Items track just inside china then disappear. It's a one way trip.

You've made a few incorrect assumptions.
That's not the official site. The official site is [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] .
There was another similar case recently where the shop you bought from sent a DOA phone.
You can send express/priority USPS for much cheaper than $80. Priority should be cheaper. Somewhere around $20-30.
DHL to China is also no problem.
None of that changes the fact that it seems you've got a DOA phone and that sucks. Do you have any external chargers to test the battery?
They are like <$5. [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&qid=1410851499&sr=8-55#ref=mp_s_a_1_55 . Make sure to get the clamp style.
Also, highly recommend you use our sponsors in the future. I know that doesn't help you now, but just wanted to mention it for the future. Gizbeat works with them regularly.

Live and learn. I may get a charger just to see but I think the phone is dead.
Will look into DHL
Priority mail does not have tracking to china must go express(even then not reliable).
Real issue is the seller address is in Chinese and no way to put that on a label.
This thread can close. No real answer other then to not buy from the Inew website.

The real answer, is use shops you know you can trust. You assumed it was the official site, but it's a total scam to make you believe that.
The real iNew site doesn't sell phones at the retail level. Which is at it should be.
You can try an external universal charger to see if the battery charges or not, but most likely it will. I also recommend trying a different charger, USB cable and outlet if you haven't already.

I assumed that since they took paypal they were somewhat reliable. Paypal usually stays away from sellers with fraud issues. On the plus side it's a nice looking phone and I got it 4 business days. Would have done better to buy 2 shares of baba

So file a complaint with PayPal. That the next move if they don't reply within 48 hours. I can't say how reliable they are, but there was a another similar issue regarding this shop.
Don't let them bullshit you until the 45 days runs out. They are responsible for everything since they didn't send a working phone.

Agreed. Hit the PayPal angle hard and fast. Do not let up - they know the game just like you do.
If you allow too much time to pass, you will never see your money nor a working phone!
As an aside, I had an old Android 2.3 that was laying around a while back. I couldn't get it to charge for the life of me. I ended up removing the battery and using one of those $5 external battery chargers and "presto"! It charged up and the phone worked.
I decided to experiment and discovered that if the battery was allowed to run to 0, it would no longer charge via the phone and I had to use the external charger. If the phone was turned on, it would act exactly like yours, but if I charged with an external charger AND turned off the phone, it would charge... but not if the battery was at 0.
That phone is now back in a drawer.
