I think the G7 is a good bet. That's not to say it's a guarantee. I haven't personally tested the G7, I just know they normally make a quality unit.
Also with their 2000mA or 3000mA battery option with their X7 line...such a brilliant concept, but so basic and easy to implement it's astonishing other brands haven't followed suit. Anyways, it shows forward thinking. I like that.

Hi to all
I'm the lucky owner of an Iocean G7. I'm very satisfied with it. I live in Spain and no have problems with GPS/WiFi at all. Indeed the GPS is really fast and accurate.
My advise is go for it and also is really cheap for all that that phone offers (I bought it for only 207 € about 1 month ago). The battery is 3500 mA and I'm gratefully surprised for it longs 2-3 days with average use.
Greetings

Good call with the ocean g7. I always forget about that model because it doesn't support the 850 wcdma I need. I really wish it did. The sponsors on here have competitive prices and good selection I'm sure you'll find out there.
Not to sound disagreeable, but regarding sniper47 mentioning mt6592 all being fine for GPS, I haven't found that to be 100% true. The Newman k2s and zopo zp998 both have unusable GPS and are 2 fairly well known manufacturers. You still have to check in with places like this to double check and get a straight answer from someone that owns the model you're looking at.
Just want to make sure nobody that really need solid GPS gets left disappointed.
: )
I can't speak for the mt6582 as I haven't used it yet.

Looky, in this order, I'd recommend leaving the phone out for 15 minutes with gpstest on and screen set to stay on. If that doesn't get a lock, next step would be to run fastergps (requires root) and set your location, if still no lock after 15, then delete mtkgps.dat, reset, and give it another go. If none of these work, it's time to update the ROM if you haven't already done so. In all the China phones I've owned, I've never had one that didn't do fine with GPS. Other than MT6016 which doesn't have GPS onboard.
All MT6592 and MT6582 have the same GPS chip. If it's absolutely not working after following all steps above, then it could be a hardware issue with the antenna not making contact properly.
