[Question] Gps settings

I think when Im buying smartphone with GPS built-in, I don't want to use external GPS modules connected to a bluetooth, It doesn't make any sense. Problem concerns many V3 handsets and it should be resolved I think. Should we write to producers or do anything else ?

If you are rooted i think you may have to use fasterGPS from the Playstore.
It will update your gps.conf settings to your country.

My GPS works really really perfect. I have usually around 13 satellites in view and stable connected to an average of 8/9 of them.

If you read beginning of this thread, or this one named "GPS Problem" [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] you will notice that it is not a problem with having FIX, everyone can obtain FIX in few seconds. The problem is when we using navigation. In my case it was Navigation from Google and AutoMapa (polish navigation). GPS is confused when driving car and unusable (chaotic position, loosing fix all the time).

I had same problem. Now I use GPS Navigace BE-ON-ROAD and everything works fine.

Your suggestion works! I tried faster gps which helps getting a fast lock, but the accuracy was bad, every few minutes it would lose position. But the be-on-road navigation app does some magic and holds the correct location all the time. I can finally use the phone for navigation. Thanks.

My solution work fine for me:
1° start gps
2° open mobileuncle -> Engineer mode->Enginner Mode (MTK)->
tab "LocationBased Service"->Tab "GPS"
choice "GPS(OFF)" button and click
3° choice Home, without close mobileuncle, start Be-on-road

now i never lost the signal (never once) try it

my version V3 is 1.0.4

BE-ON-ROAD doesn't work for me. it constantly trying to keep you on the road but still looses signal. Only one application works perfectly - NAVIGATOR

edit: now all gps apps working well. I don't understand, but it's great! I fixed it and don't know how... pure magic

Dear leeakydog,

do you really mean "navigator"? Cause your link leads me to google plays "Map Factor:GPS Navigation"...

And yes, have the same problem: GPS fix in 30 seconds, but allways lost signal about every 60 seconds....Seems to be a problem of Inew V3...

Luke: sure, but it's marked as "Navigator" under icon of this app. That's why I wrote that :-) Otherwise my GPS started work in other apps too. Can't tell you why, because it's mystery for me. I did just another battery swap and the problem was gone. I hope it lasts. If I will find out what it was, I will tell you
