[Question] Help with bricked V3 after ROM flash

Greetings,

just got my V3 today and cos it came along with stock 1.0.1 firmware i decided to flash it via SP flash tools to the official 1.0.4 unrooted unmodified ROM. All went seemingly okay but after restart the phone got fully bricked and after trying to reflash it with something usable im getting the marvellous "brom error s_ft_enable_dram_fail (4032)".

Any help or advice appreciated, uncle google suggested using some preloader.bin ripped from working ROM of the same phone of somebody else so if some kind souls would be able to provide that (or any working advice ofc) i would be extremely grateful.

For me the best way to flash (what I did) is root, install custom recovery through mobileuncle tools and then install the update with cwm. Can you even enter in recovery?

1 - did u use the latest version sp flash tool

2- if u use the latest version of sp flash tool, and u still get the 4032 error
then u have to get the preloader.bin from the V3 owner. Also bear in mind that the V3 owner has to be same as yr batch. (i think that u have a fake Inew V3)

or ask yr shop to give u the preloader.bin file

You said fully bricked. You mean no logo? no boots loops? can you get into recovery?

Yeah sadly fully bricked as in cant enter recovery at all.

1 - Yup i did use the newest SP Flash tools or close to it, i used v5.1343 for the actual flashing and after the bricking in desperate effort i did find v5.1352, all giving me still the same error.

2- Getting a fake one would be unlikely, i used quite respectable shop and all seemed okay up until the flash, sadly not after

I can try emailing the shop about getting the preloader.bin, but as i said if somebody else would have the file available at least for trying, it would be great

I also highly doubt it's a fake. Try the SP flash tool. not the mtk flash tool. You should be able to use that preloader from any inew ROM. I flashed the v3 with all versions of preloader in each ROM and never a problem.

ya,
the only one way to unbrick yr phone is to get the right preloader.bin
then use sp flash tool to flash back the rom

Same problem for me, phone bricked after flashing stock 1.0.1 to the official 1.0.4 unrooted unmodified ROM.
Re-flashing stops with “brom error s_ft_enable_dram_fail (4032)”

Vito and Alex, Can you enter recovery? Make sure you factory reset after flashing the ROM

It's a possibility there is a new revision of inew V3 that have some slightly different hardware. possibly different LCD with different driver or some other part. I'm just saying it's possible. When did you 3 people receive your inew v3?

Make sure you try with both *download* and the *firmware upgrade* options.
