Thanks for the update even if I'm surprised! The software to root the phone took quite a while to do the whole thing but it worked, anyway now we know there are 2 possibilities to ROOT MP809T

EDIT: Dear Darktator.... the solution you posted is THE SAME as the one I posted.... so how come it didn't work ;P

Hello rerosku.
I saw your link before starting my "crusade" (and in fact, your post make me dream about being root on my phone). So it was the first method I tried.

The link refers to a "Graphical Easy Root" with a strange link to this website (=link to a forum section, instead of a forum post). So I search for this "graphical Easy Root", and the search lead to another tools, non effective for 809T. That's why it took me some hours to find the good one.

Please use CPU-Z to confirm the specs of the phone..there is n way this phone has 3GB of RAM. and make sure you are using a LEGIT Antutu and not the version that comes with the phone. Please post results. Thanks.

Hey can you please download CPU-Z to show the specs of the phone and then post a screen shot. Also please download a LEGIT version on Antutu rather than the Antutu that was installed on the phone when you got it (usually a fake). I just don't believe that this phone has 3GB of RAM. I am interested in this phone at -$200. Please post screenshot of results. Thanks.

The phone itself does not come with antutu.
I install antutu from playstore.
I install antutu,cpu z,cpu identifer all show 3gb of ram.

As they said above, MP809T doesn't come with AnTuTu instaled by default, the screenshot i posted in the first post are taken with the play store version. Anyway, here are the screenshots taken with CPU-Z as you requested

I am still very surprised and CONFUSED about the RAM..it shows 3 GB but even you listed in your signature that it has only 3GB..LOL. I am very skeptical about Chinese phones as I have been cheated x 3 with their electronics (fake iPhone, 7" tablet and HaiPai i989).. All ran good for about a month and then their screens started to twitch out and not be responsive. It didn't hurt my wallet that much as they were $150 at most. But this phone is about $300 USD where the Nexus 5 is $399 CAD which is $360 USD at current rate Tongue

I don't really want the Nexus 5 for 1 main reason of not having an miniSD expansion or any storage expandable. I like to have lots of ebooks and scanned PDF to read and of course video to watch while away from home.

Please keep in touch with this thread after having the phone for a month, 3 month, 6 month, etc. Because you will be saving a lot of people hard earn cash in buying a lemon phone. I would easily take the risk but Chinese electronic have the shittiest warranty especially for us in North America.

Sorry to tell you but the phone is not 300usd.... I paid it 180usd and King Cool is one of the few selling this version FullHD, most of the mp809t have a lower resolution on Aliexpress and cost the same. But the way I found a pre rooted stock rom if anyone is interested [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
