[Question] Samsung Clone Galaxy S4(i9500) MT6572 /Root, Rom & Internal Storage Help

Hi,

I have spent a great deal of time researching before posting this.
I have previously managed to flash and install a custom rom on other Android handsets but I am not sure with this handset as the information around may not be correct for me.

This is an MT6572 S4 Clone
I noticed afterwards that I was unable to install apps as internal storage has around 300mb available in total under Apps however under storage available space is 9.41GB!

This is my main concern which I would like to resolve.
I have installed the drivers for it on my PC so I can access it and view it as a camera and media player.

I would like to resolve the internal storage issue.
Or alternatively Root and resolve a new rom which fixes the problem.

MtkDroidTools has been installed on my PC but when attempting to root an error appears:

sh: /system/xbin/busybox: no found
cp: /system/xbin/su: No such file or directory
Error: SU inaccessible

SuperSU does not work for me - no SU binary, likewise for Superuser.

Hardware : MT6572 (MT6589 is Fake!)
Model : GT-I9500

People have mentioned scatter files, flashing etc, but I have no idea and I do not want to brick the phone.

Can someone please provide some very basic instructions on how I can progress with this, ideally with backup in place just in case?

I followed other suggested steps, deleted cache, data from recovery.
Rebooted.
Transferred this root tool files.
Installed this Framaroot tool

Selected
Install SuperSU

Exploit result

Failed ... Exploit work but installed of Superuser and su binary have failed

Above was Framaroot 1.8.1

Also tried with 1.4.1

which states:
Your device seems not vulnerable to exploit included in this root tool

I also tried impactor again and it shows the error no space left on device message again.

I also tried MTK Droid and got the same error as previously mentioned -

I could try this if it is worthwhile to try?
but I would require some further help or more basic instructions?
I can create a scatter file but then struggle a little on step 2 and the read back tab step?

Alternatively does anyone have any other suggestions please, as I am really struggling with this?

If I cannot increase the phone storage space issue then using this handset will become a problem even with an SD card.
I installed all the essentials apps required and despite it being set to SD card, I am now left with 50mb according to what it states within app.

Phone storage had showed as having just 11.3MB space free from 14.3MB after everything has been deleted.

Hope someone is able to help with - storage space / unable to install SU binary issue

I have also tried using the Graphical Easy MTK6577 Root

My first attempt reported back
The current program is occupied! Updates failed!

Second and third attemps reported back:
Your phone is really really tough Root...failed

Manual Way button appeared

Downloaded and attempted to run this despite it not being in English.

adb service is out of date. killing...

Appears numerous times and is the only English.

But in summary both options did not work.

I had previously tried impactor but that does not install su due to lack of space, same message again.

Anymore suggestions, didn't really want to give up?

Hi there ur device like mine its mt6572 & u can find the right rom for it in needrom in rom section just download it & flash it with sp flashtool & it should go all well ..i hope i helped u with that thanks.

I too have a fake S4 how did you find the Hardware MT6572? I can't seem to find it in the settings.
