MTK6589T (built in):
CPU: 4xCortex-A7, 1.5Ghz, 32KB/32KBL1, 1MBL2
Mem: LPDDR2 533MHz
GFX: IMGSGX544 357Mhz
Modem: HSPA+ Rel.8, RxD (21Mbps/11Mbps) TD-SCDMA (2.8/2.2)
Connectivity: External MT6620/MT6628
From the CPU spec list you can see it's using either the MT6620 or the MT6628 or even the latest, T6628Q for their external connectivity. I'm not sure if inew kept the same specs in all there builds but if they have done as some other manufacturers and just updated the connectivity chip as stock was received it could be dependent on the manufacturing date.
All the connectivity chips use the same driver set from what I understand of it. that why many of the ROMS are interchangeable.
I haven't seen any software that allows this chipset to go into monitor mode.
The only other way would be to go the OTG and put a RTL8187 based USB Wi-Fi NIC in usb to get into monitor mode, then you can use this software
