[Question] Encryption on W200S

I have THL W200S and our company now requires android phones to be encrypted. I notice that the W200S does not have the encryption option enabled ( normally under security). Wonder why this was taken out ?

Any suggestions to enable or activate encryption ?

You can encrypt specific folders and files via es file explorer or encryptor app from play. Not sure if that will be an adequate solution.

If not, you can try different ROMs for your phone to see if the option exists in them. W200S has many Roms available.

Thanks. Where do I find the ROMs and the instructions to install.. is there way I can check whether encryption is available before installation.

Most of them will be based on the stock ROM, so for you will be pointless to try. There may be some others there though. You won't find whether they have the encryption option unless you ask someone who is currently on the ROM and can check for you. Highly unlikely someone will reply, so you'll most likely need to try it yourself.

Also, be careful as there are a couple different versions of the w200s. Read in the description how to determine if its for yours.
