wp8 pro blue tooth turns off when phone goes to sleep

I have a Samsung active 2 watch i can get it paired to the phone and working but as soon as the phone goes to sleep the watch disconnects from the phone is there a setting that i am not doing right on the phone so the Bluetooth don't go to sleep please help
