Are you sure that your service provider uses the 3G frequencies you're on? Are you using the 3G with SIM 1?
Download Mobileuncle Tools from Play Store. Go to Engineer Mode >Engineer Mode (MTK) >Telephony >BandMode >SIM 1. See if you have the correct frequencies ticked under UMTS Mode. SIM 2 is GSM mode only, at least for me (different phone).
Also check in Settings, under Wireless & Networks >Mobile Networks >3G Service >Enable 3G for your SIM 1.
