[split] Battery on DG800? - bicho79 - 2014-08-18

hi-
just received my dg800 valencia and i'm afraid to say that the battery is wasting very fast as in the dg2014 - does someone knows about this problem or better if there's any proposed solution??is it a unique problem of doogee's phones?may it be a certain app that's using a lot of power??
appreciate you help

What does "very fast" mean...? How much screen time are you getting with a full charge? Is it deep sleeping? What type of use - SIM data / videos / gaming...>

DG2014 and DG800 are both very cheap phones...Maybe difficult to expect a lot from them.

The app "GSam Battery Monitor" is very popular around this forum. I've really come to like it. I recommend installing it now and posting up your results in a few days.

I've been using mine for 6 weeks now. The first few weeks was really baaaaad...very fast power drop. I am now using BassRockers re-do of the June 19 ROM...available from Needrom dated August 14. I notice a stark change for the better...the battery lasts longer. But be ready with jumper cables...the final drop is unpredictable. I'd say with a quarter or a third left it drops faster. This might be because I've been testing GPS and location was still on...am still testing. I'm forgetful...so I just installed Juice Defender Ultimate to make sure the GPS and other power suckers get turned off when not using.

I really like the phone. I use it to navigate everywhere in northern Germany...very reliable and exact. If anyone ever finds a way to hack the poor WIFI reception I would be eternally grateful. I have tried many different alu foil fixes...I'm almost an Origamy expert...but no luck.

Don't give up...this relationship is worth fighting for!

By the way, I get around 2 days of moderate use...few phone calls, lots of WhatsApp texting, light browsing.

The % really means very little. Check your voltage. It should be around 3.600 by the time it hits 10%. Have it on the charger by the time it hits about 3.550.
