Tianhe H900 Mtk6592 - Rooting - johncar10 - 2014-08-09

Hi first post on this good site.

My brother in law has the above phone and on setting up prior to setting up a google account set his privacy pin and then forgot it. Due to USB debugging not being set I had to resort to flashing with a stock rom to clear the pin. This was successful but unfortunately it cleared the IMEI sim codes. I've downloaded mobileuncle to re-instate but the phone needs to be rooted. So I've downloaded the latest vroot which appeared to work (Reported as successful) unfortunately when I go back to mobileuncle it still says it needs rooting. I've tried various methods to try and root but they have all been unsuccessful. After trawling the internet the MTK6592 does seem to be problematic to root.

Any advice would be great and much appreciated to turn this brick that has never been used Can't look into what looks like a good phone. Big Grin

cheers

John

hi, johncar10. Welcome to the forum!

Have you tried going through the rooting tools here? [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
What OS is the phone running?

Hi keyapira

Have you tried writing your own CWM? This is about the only thing I haven't tried and appears as one of the things listed in the link Athos posted.

i rooted my h900 few minutes ago.

the only way for me is to flash boot.img and recovery.img (found patched at needrom site).

then use vroot and after install supersu and remove china supersu uncle

pitone02

To assist the OP, did you have to restore IMEI or was the mere flashing sufficient?
