No imei - Pablete197 - 2014-08-08 After installing a recovery image with uncletools my inew doesn't detect my sim card. When i want to see my imei it says it's invalid tried to put it with uncletools but impossible i had tried to do a factory reset but nothing happens any solution? RE: No imei - aus9 - 2014-08-08 Hi QUICK TEST go into system settings and disable then re-enable your sim cards and see if you can now make/receive calls 1)Where did you get this recovery from? b) Alternatively name the tutorial you used to build it? c) I wonder if you have attempted to flash a recovery too big for your flash area and have gone into another flash section. 2) Post the byte size of the new recovery image pls 3) Download an android terminal from playstore and as local user run this command post your results pls Code: cat /proc/dumchar_info | grep recovery b) Alternatively use your root file manager to copy /proc/dumchar_info to /sdcard.....rename THE sdcard version as dumchar.txt and post its contents do NOT remame the proc version. Altho proc is virtual filesystem we don't need to introduce new errors. 4) have you checked you have true root as that may be factor in why mobileuncle is not OVER writing your imei info? RE: No imei - Pablete197 - 2014-08-08 thanks for the answer but had solve it by installing a new rom formating the whole phone. Is there any way to thank you for your help? RE: No imei - nunytes - 2014-08-08 Always make a backup of your imei with mobileuncle tools! And another backup of your emei and nvram with MTK tools! Just in case... ;) RE: No imei - WuddaWaste - 2014-08-08 We have a tutorial on this very topic. How to restore an IMEI. Losing an IMEI while flashing a ROM is a pretty common occurrence. Backing up the IMEI prior to a flash is good practice. Since we are already beyond that phase, it's a moot point. FYI, a phone often has the IMEI printed on a sticker underneath the battery. Or sometimes it's included in the docs that come with a phone. Good luck! RE: No imei - aus9 - 2014-08-09 glad you solved it.
