Does any 1 know best way of converting a system folder to system.img

I have the folder but need the image file so I can flash my stock recovery.

*Preface: I don't know the answer to your question. I'm hoping someone with more knowledge will come along and help out. In the meantime, here's some tidbits regarding what I found:

It looks like there are two ways to pack the system.img as you mentioned above, depending on the file system. I found methods for both ext4 and yaffs file systems. Know which system you are using before proceeding.

It also seems to be a consensus that if you're trying to create a system.img from the system folder on your android device, making a NANDROID backup is the quick and easy way to go.

Yep I know about "ext4 and yaffs file systems" but just don't get it and I have told using Ubantu os can also create it. And problem is I didn't create the back up but i have managed to get my phone back with couple of rom's that I have managed to put together.

I hope some 1 can come up with a better and easy solution and let me know Smiling
