Trying to add new post embeds to old post - aus9 - 2014-05-25

Hi

This is an observation or two.

In one of my recent posts, a member thanked me. Woo Hoo

I then tried to post a new reply, as it was a change to what I was thanked for.
But the new post because there were no other posters replying
-----caused my new post to be embedded in the old post.

This is probably a forum design.

But can I point out.....it can be misleading.

It makes it appear that I am being thanked for the new fuller post,
when that may not be reasonable.

2) The newer attempted post, is now an edit
so any members tracking that post......not necessarily any of my waffle
I mean any similar post that has no other replies
may not be aware an edit has occurred.
That is------- I suspect the edit ---- will not lead other members see an email alert because
no NEW reply has landed.

I may have trouble expressing myself but thought it best to bring it to your attention.

Feel free to ignore if its too hard to change the code.

It's not difficult to change. It's by design. If you post directly after yourself after 12 hours it will make a new post. Within 12 hours if yet no other replies it will append.
