flip cover sensor problem - nosidefcp - 2014-05-13 Hello. I have two inew v3, and one of them is going crazy. It locks/unlocks itself withthe flip cover always open. I notices its now happening even without the flip cover. IM runing on 1.0.8. Is there any fix for this or should i send it for repair?thanks RE: flip cover sensor problem - usblaidas - 2014-05-14 Try to see if you compass is working properly. Usually this "flip case sensor" is the same sensor which is being used for compass. If you see that your compass is going crazy, probably there might be a problem with it. RE: flip cover sensor problem - junkpod - 2014-05-14 The same issue with mine, also 108 rom. I tested with sensor display apps and haven't seen any peek in the compass graphs when it occured. But realised there is always mobile data active streaming (white arrow in the signal icon) when it occure, none when on wifi. So there is something in other data controlling apps whuch locks the screen. I hope 114 will fix it. Please try it and report back your experiences RE: flip cover sensor problem - usblaidas - 2014-05-16 (2014-05-15, 21:20)junkpod Wrote:(2014-05-14, 02:12)usblaidas Wrote: Try to see if you compass is working properly. Just a quick question, do you also get the same issue without flip cover? RE: flip cover sensor problem - nunytes - 2014-05-16 I had this issue and with proximity sensor (when I was in a call everything was opened with my ear), and now, after I bought my silicone case everything is working perfectly! So I believe that the issue is with flip cover... RE: flip cover sensor problem - nosidefcp - 2014-05-16 i can confirm that magnetoff module helps a lot with this. although, what corrects this 100% is removing the flip cover and use a silicone one... RE: flip cover sensor problem - nikstar - 2014-05-17 This problem exists and without the flip cover case. My phone did that and I never had a case. Then it is clearly magnets which make your phones go crazy. Just as @junkpod suggested, use xposed module called "magnet off", but say goodbye to compass or use any other case. What I also can suggest you is try to remove those small metal things from the flip case. Had similar problem with my old Asus Transformer so I just used a wee magnet to identify where those magnets were located and carefully with knife cut them out. After that just placed black electrical tape (it does NOT have to be electrical, it is just that it was black - same colour as case). But I am sure you guys will find a solution as the problem has been identified. Good luck! RE: flip cover sensor problem - nikstar - 2014-05-17 As I said before, this is happening also without the flip cover which is means that the magnet sensor some how is malfunctioning, even if the compass is working perfect. There is tweak at gravity box for this problem but for 6589 phones but it looks like it eliminates the problem. |
