XIAOMI ? - HappyUser - 2014-05-09

There is not much said about XIAOMI products in here, why is that? Is it good or bad...?
I find their universe very interesting, although they don't have much fokus on the European market...

I have looked at quite a lot of reviews now on different products, and read some of GizBeat's reviews also regarding new XIAOMI products (maybe a Mi3S?). I find the "brand" intriguing and the specs in the products looks really good. I might find myself with a XIAOMI phone or other stuff from here in the near future...Smile

I'm also looking forward to see what they are launching now at may 15th, and in Q3 as GizBeat have written about...

Maybe you guys could write something that you have experienced (good and bad) with XIAOMI products, and maybe some thoughts and opinions about them and that...

So what do you think, is XIAOMI products totally crap or is it worth paying good money for...? Wanna fight?

Dear happy User,
I shy away from granting opinions on the issue you presented, my own sad experience done and my status as NEWBE in this area. I must declare to start that Xiaomi RNote2 specs are excellent !

However i feel you might take some advise (at you own risk and decision, of course)
after reading my recent cry for help tittled "Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Settings "denials".
Furthermore, some apparent Gurus are pointing out that it may be worth to wait for
the next "updated" version of Android OS, and ammended MiaUI sys launcher and,
definitely, older Xiaomi models were hugely more user-friendly and less prone to repeated
disturbances inducing heavy owner's daily frustrations.

RE: XIAOMI ? - Master Infinity - 2016-01-17

Xiaomi is usually very good. @hene , I think your problem is very rare, at least I have never heard of something like this. All electronic brands are prone to having some problem with some of the units, but I think Xiaomi is one of the ones that suffers hardware problems less than the others.

I thought as much master Infinity but i believe (and could provide several other examples of erratic, unpredictable performances i gathered WHEN i tried to substitute the Mi Launcher by APEX 3.0 (which is tremendously more flexible and user-friendly) and, well, i could report detailing the incredible sundry "reactions" i experienced and survived to until i got sick and tired to patch "reprisal" counteractions, mainly in the 'home' screen and installation run-of-the-mill -- let's be 'soft' and call it so -- and returned to the Mi Launcher and, suddenly, all happy ended then ...
THUS I SAID IT AND I REPEAT IT: MiaUI Launcher rather dies off on you than accepts your commands (even if you're SuperSU) -- if those commands change its own FIXED DEFAULTS -- its a sad Xiaomi Redmi prime minus Note! Regards,
H
