low budget snapdragon 400 chinese phones? - kenturky - 2014-04-23
i heard that mediatek is very aggressive when it comes to giving out rom/kernel sources, and developers are being charged a fee for each.
This has made me really sad because I always want the latest android on my phone in the form of a custom rom, and Mediatek is going against the GPL policy, and Im on thl w8s. I cant get the feel of Kitkat on my phone, and its really frustrating.
So, im deciding to sell off this phone. I may buy the find 7, but I would like a snapdragon 400 phone with 2GB ram for now so that I can get a Kitkat rom for it. Kitkat version 4.4.3 has been launched, and wikio stairway has just got a CM11 mix with lots of bugs, not working stuff etc...
So, are there any cheap phones with these specs?
snapdragon 400
16GB internal storage with a memory card slot
2GB ram
2500mah or higher, and removable battery will do
Absence of 4g LTE will do
8/13MP camera
thats it. will save some money for the phone.

ZTE Star 1 almost covers your requirements. And KitKat comes with the phone ;)

but its still coming out.... it hasnt released as yet...
