Star note 3 mtk6592 stock ROM & CWM? - dermo - 2014-04-18

Does anyone here have a Star Note 3. Mtk6592. Model 2709_v92_zlh_hd.

I need the stock recovery file. Willing to pay a few dollars for it.

You can read back the boot.img then process with MTK Droid Tools. See ranpha tutorial if rooted. If you can't get root shell permissions or you're not yet rooted, then see ultimate no-root backup tutorial.

In the tutorial it says I am required to have the original boot.img file.

I dont have it - or am i missing something?

@dermo , the confusion may be that while you don't have original recovery, your boot.img should still be original. The tutorials I linked to will pull show how to pull the boot.img you need for MTK Droid Tool to create a recovery.

When I open the scatter file with SP flash tools, there is nothing listed in the 'read back' tab.

Any ideas?
