Stock iNew V3 firmware v1.0.1 dated 2014/02/25 - den10 - 2014-03-15 hi guys, the firmware is the stock one dated 2014/02/25 this firmware is a backup from my brand new V3 so fully operating without issues here's the link for download: if you like this, please hit THANKS and report to any friend who could find this thread useful bye -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- old: hi guys, finally i've received my V3. the first thing i've done is looking at rom/firmware, but i think there's something strange... i've found: _baseband dated 2014/02/15 _kernel 3.4.5 with no date informations _build version 1.0.1 how is it possible that they distribute 1.0.1 with updated baseband? maybe is it a newer version but they wrote 1.0.1 accidentally now i'll try to make a backup (a flashable one)...any suggestion for the method? mtkdroid (prepare block for flash tool) is the best one? RE: firmware dated 2014/02/15??? - NexusTrix - 2014-03-15 At this point. I strongly suggest you don't do some flashing. But many people waiting this ROM and preloader. If you get it backed up, upload it megaupload or something similar for the people. The current opinion is that this is possible a new batch of inew v3 with possibly some different hardware. For backup, use my tutorial. Gizbeat put some video now there as well Root with framaroot. RE: firmware dated 2014/02/15??? - den10 - 2014-03-15 RE: firmware dated 2014/02/15??? - NexusTrix - 2014-03-15 Yes. Version # (1.0.1, 1.02 etc) means little. Also it different name (inewv3 instead of cxq). The important thing is that kernel date. If you can upload that. Many people waiting I think. RE: firmware dated 2014/02/15??? - linr76 - 2014-03-15 this <could> be 1.0.5 and they made a mistake with the numbering. i strongly advise you not to try and flash your phone if it came from a new production batch and looks like this one. chances are high you will brick it. as already mentioned it seems there is some different hardware involved. lets not hope the changed to inferior parts because of the high demand. i am expecting mine this coming or the week after, and i am anxious if i am also going to receive one from the new production. all signs say yes. there have been some people already how have soft-bricked their new production inew's by trying to flash 1.0.4 on them. luckily enough, the mtk phones seem to be quite resistant to hard-brick... oh, and if you do not mind and have the possibility, could you please check if OTG, NFC and Air-gesture all work? (Air gesture did not work with any firmware so far) thanks a bunch!
