In defence of the H9008, which is meant to be a clone of the Samsung Note 3 sans stylus, the Note 3 also has plastic edges along with the faux leather back. The manufacturer must be lauded for such a fantastic reproduction -- slap some Samsung stickers on it and you, but for the lack of the S-Pen, would be unable to tell the difference from appearances alone.
