How can I install Custom Recovery to my MT6580 device? - raindrop - 2018-04-15 Hello All, I have an issues and need some help. I have a 'Yuntab K107' tablet device that I am trying to install a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM on. I am using Droid Tools but 'Create Scatter File' is greyed out. I also cannot use the 'ROOT' tab of the Droid Tool due to an error which is unknown to me. I am attaching the screen shots here describing these errors. I have tried to flash few custom recovery files that I downloaded from internet for MT6580 device using Fastboot command. I was able to flash those successfully after unlocking the bootloader but none of those recoveries worked. I also tried PhilZ Easy Magic software which gave me error "Sorry not compatible with your device .. MediaTek only'. So I was wondering what can I do to install a custom recovery to this device? Thanks, RE: How can I install Custom Recovery to my MT6580 device? - raindrop - 2018-04-21 Hello, So I was reading on this web site and it seems that Droid tools cannot work with MT6580 chipset since Droid Tools is out dated and cannot with with newer (2015+)devices. Most of the Medaitek Devices need Droid Tool based hacks to extract scatter file so I was wondering: 1) Is there any work around for me to make Droid Tools work with my MT6580 device without giving me an error? 2) Is there any other way for me to create a scatter file without using Droid Tool? 3) Are there any tools for MediaTek devices which can work through Fastboot commands and Fastboot flashing? Thanks. |
