How to enable virtual buttons in official miui ROM? Help please. - apple2005 - 2013-10-23

Hi all,
I installed official MIUI ROM on my Zopo Zp950h but unfortunately I found that it doesn't have virtual navigation buttons. So I uninstalled it. I like this ROM. Can anybody help me as to how to enable virtual buttons in official MIUI ROM. I shall be thankful for your cooperation.

Did you try downloading the version I linked above? If you want the virtual buttons, that is the correct line to add. Look very carefully in build.prop and make sure the line isn't already there.

Thanks Gizbeat once again. Yeah, I looked many times but couldn't find the lines in build.prop... The link you provided is Vinnatalik ROM. I installed this also but the instructions of the ROM are in Russian and one doesn't know what he is doing and after installation I had problems with this ROM. Chrome browser was crashing permanently and SwiftKey keyboard was not working. Both of which are very important for me.
Now I installed the Isotamin ROM. It is actually a ported ROM and so will have no updates. That was the reason I was after official miui rom... But unfortunately the official ROM is not having virtual buttons... I don't know how people like to have no buttons? If you go to settings of any application, you cannot come to main application... And then you have to close that application from the settings to reach the main interface of application... Very annoying but people like that way????

If you open settings, just tap the back button or tap the application main window (depends on setting style) and you'll be back to the app. I've never had to exit an app after hitting settings to get back to the main interface.

Regardless, I highly recommend you install the latest stock firmware and use the newest xposed framework with Gravitybox. Couple of excellent features are slide along notification bar for brightness adjustment, and double tap settings to swap between apps. Using those 2 features quite often. There are a lot of customization options.

Here's the link to xposed. [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]

I know what you're talking about. I've never come across an app where you couldn't hit the capacitive back button, or tap somewhere in the app itself, to return to the main window of that app.

Glad you found something that works for you. That's all that matters.
