HomTom HT3 Pro - LED BUG FIX - probable - Cleopatra - 2016-08-02

The biggest issue/bug experienced by all the owners of HT3 Pro is that it drains its battery within few hours.
The reason for this is the notification LED.
It does not allow to the phone to go into deep sleep.
As soon as the LED goes on, the CPU remains at 100%, even when no activity.
I think I found a solution ... mark my words: I just said "I think I found".
Unfortunately 2 paid apps are required :

1) Root Explorer
2) SQLite Editor

But it's worth spending few money to get these 2 very useful apps ... trust of me.

first stage of the process

1) Tap on "Root Explorer"
2) Tap on "Data" folder
3) Tap once again in the new "Data" folder
4) Tap on "com.android.providers.settings"
5) Tap on "databases" folder
6) Long tap on "settings.db"
7) Select "Properties" and select "Permissions"
8) Set the permissions to 0770
9) Close "Root Explorer"

second stage of the process

1) Tap on "SQLite Editor"
2) Tap on "Data" folder
3) Tap once again in the new "Data" folder
4) Tap on "com.android.providers.settings"
5) Tap on "databases" folder
6) Tap on "settings.db"
7) Tap on "Open"
8) Tap on "system"
9) Tap on line 23 - "notification_light_pulse"
10) Tap on "Edit Record"
11) Change the value to 0 and SAVE
12) Reboot the phone (FUNDAMENTAL)

third stage of the process

Download and install "Light Manager" apk (free).
You have to keep in mind that you have just disabled the led notifications,
"Light Manager" will help you to show the notifications straight to the screen.
The notifications will be shown also when the screen is turned off.

I have prepared a detailed slideshow with all the steps.
Please watch carefully the next slideshow :

fourth stage of the process

To reduce the consumption of the battery, I strongly recommend you to install "Greenify" xposed module.
"Greenify" could help you to improve both battery life and performances by hibernating certain apps.
To install Xposed Framework, please follow carefully the next thread :

I have prepared another detailed slideshow with all the steps/settings.
Please watch carefully the next slideshow :

DO NOT PUT INTO HIBERNATION "Light Manager" and "whatsapp" Wink

Thank you very much, Cleopatra. I don't understand the very last frame of Greenify. You enable Auto-hibernation and then Disable it?

The last frame/pic teach you how to remove an app from hibernation.

Yes it works. But in new software version XP 1.0.5 in settings there are switches to turn off notification LED.

The XP stock firmware version does NOT works on the old HT3 Pro.
OLD HT3 Pro = stock firmware version 1.0.9 / 1.1.2 / 1.1.3

Hello! I have Homtom HT3 Pro 1 revision (firmware 113 out of the box). Attempts to reduce the drain on the battery I got bootloop smartphone.
The Stock 113 firmware for Flash Tool can not be found (I wrote to Homtom support, but was told that this firmware they do not have). On the forum there were another forum 2 firmware, both at number 105, just GF20_HT3Pro_A_XP_VC_N40_V1.0.5_user_20161107-11_07_43 was less than 50 MB than GF20_HT3Pro_XP_VC_V1.0.5_user_20161105-11_37_06.
After flashing GF20_HT3Pro_A_XP_VC_N40_V1.0.5_user_20161107-11_07_43 smartphone will not start even (I tried 2 times a firmware update mode, and waited about 15 minutes). As it turned out this firmware for clone Homtom about XT3 smartphone ISPRIT U50LTE (the logo Venzo).
After flashing GF20_HT3Pro_XP_VC_V1.0.5_user_20161105-11_37_06 firmware (in firmware update mode), my smartphone has start and worked without any problems. It is strange that it did not go for Cleo.
Generally, you can flash any official (the others I have not tried) firmware revision to any revision smartphone (smartphone should be able to run), if the firmware flashing FlashTool uncheck points boot.img and lk.bin.
I put so firmware number 101 (2 revisions) and firmware GF20_HT3Pro_A_XP_VC_N40_V1.0.5_user_20161107-11_07_43 (for ISPRIT U50LTE). The most daring can try to make sure.
Good luck!
