Problems with 5.1.1 V2.6 - Azoz - 2015-12-11

Hello,

I encountered a few problems with my D6000 after updating it to 5.1.1 V2.6.

Background apps are killed the moment I turn off the screen. Even though I had turned off the "Don't keep activities" option in developer mode.
For example, I had 2 applications running in the background, the first is WhatsApp and the second is Alarm Clock. If I turned off the screen, both of these apps are killed and I can't receive messages nor alarms! Unless I run those apps manually. (I did not have this problem with android 5.0.2 v1.1)

The second problem is with Snapchat. The software buttons are covering the bottom of the app and it is unusable! Here's a screenshot:

The only fix for this is turning on "hide navigation key" in the options. But I have to hide these buttons every 10 seconds to work with this app, which is annoying ):

Please help me get rid of these problems. Thanks!

I'm having the exact same Snapchat problem on 5.0.4. It's been there since Day 1. Where are you seeing this "hide navigation key"? I cannot find that option anywhere. I was hoping that upgrading to 5.1.1 would fix it, but apparently not. It's so frustrating.

Azoz- Make sure "Don't keep activities" is not selected AND turn the app on in "Protected apps"

Gaw - turn on hide navigation key option in display settings.

That wasn't available on the OTA version. I've done a clean flash to 5.1.1 V2.6 and it is there now. Seems to work okay.

I have already done these. Still no luck ):

Don't keep activities should be unchecked by default. There's nothing you should have to do with that setting.

You can try to convert Snapchat to a system app. Or see if in Snapchat there are any settings for "keep in memory". If none of those work, maybe try 5.1.1 with Google and multilingual.
