Stream Photos and Videos From PC to Phone - tjpotato - 2013-03-29

If you're like me who watches lots of tv series, movies, anime, and reruns on the go--via portable device, then you know how frustrating and time-consuming it is to copy whole folders of videos or full hd movies from your pc to your phone or tablet.

Streaming might be the best solution.

I use an app called [Image: emit.png] to play media stored on my pc, directly to my tablet. You can use your existing wi-fi connection or 3g (or even use an adhoc connection from your laptop) or through the internet via its web player.

You can download the server program and the android app (and learn more about it) from their website:

edit: the screenies are on a mac but it works perfectly on android. you can specify folders and directories in your pc that you want to access on your portable device. (you can also copy them over-the-air through this app)

Great. Thanks for this TJ. ES Explorer natively allows streaming through wi-fi, but I don't believe ES Explorer offers through the net streaming. Will give this a go.
