A whole Slew of things. - henrykins111 - 2013-07-24 I have several things to say/ask, so I think this would be the best part of the forum for it. I just(fairly recently) obtained an mtk6589 android phone that I do not seem to see listed on the forums. I expect it to be a popular phone with due time, which is why I got it. It has got the mtk6589 processor, 1gb of ram, a 1:1 galaxy s4 appearance with the ability to fit in cases, etc. and it also includes air gesture. Is there already a brand attached to this phone or is it unnamed as of right now? I am wondering because I would like to keep track of and possibly help with development on this device. That, and I am actually experiencing a small issue. As of late this morning(it was working earlier in the morning), my Phone's radio has decided to stop trying to look for networks. It will be able to register the sims, but whenever it tries to search for networks, it then stops and says it cannot connect right now and to try again later. It has a constant rate of 85dBms and it just will not connect. Very frustrating as I want to use it as a phone, haha. Any insight to any of my questions would be apprecieated. All you said was that it's a 1:1 Galaxy s4 clone. Interesting it's registering no problem, but can't connect. 1- Did you try both SIM slots? 2- How long did you have the phone before it stopped working? 3- Did you do anything to the phone? (install different firmware, etc...) 4- Are you in a different location than when it was working? 5- Can it see the networks within network settings? 6- Have you gone into the settings and made sure it's set to automatic, as well as attempting to manually set the network? I bought it on dhgate, and it was not branded, only 1:1 best clone etc etc. It has 2 imei's, but there is only one [visible] sim slot. The issue I had worked itself out after a few hours of just letting it do its thing. Here is a link for it, the supposed HDC Galaxy S4 Legend. It is a really nice phone and I hope there are some more people to provide support soon. I will provide a the rom backup I made of the phone from MTK tools if anyone is interested. And I will answer any questions as best I am able if others want to hear more about it. And all credit of the video goes to mayiandjay. |
