Just so people not confused. That engineering frequency mode has little to do with actual capabilities of the phone's radio. In other word, just because engineering mode shows the frquency checked does not mean the phone is capable to use that band.

Interesting, I guess only way to really tell is to buy the device and see for yourself. I still would feel more comfortable if the frequencies were checked. I hate having to order stuff and then return it because of china notorious false advertising. Well anyone willing to be the first guinea pig?

Well it's worth the checking. If it's not there, it definitely means it does not have. But if there, doesn't necessarily mean it has.

Well looks like it is only 900/2100mhz. I got the screenshot from a guy over at xda. I guess I'm going with a Mlais device for the mean time.

You could look into the Huawei Mediapad X1. It's due out very soon, in 2 varieties. 3G and 4G. Not sure on the bands supported though.

Yes, I got it day before yesterday. It came rooted with Google play installed. But there is some problem either with playstore or the phone. I installed two purchased applications but they disappeared after reboot. When I installed through coolpad store, they are working good.

BUILD QUALITY: Very good build quality. The shape is like Samsung but the build is better than Samsung.

SCREEN: Very sharp, vibrant and natural colours. Very bright screen. Even on 25 percent brightness level, it is too bright.

SIZE: The size is really huge. It can be carried in the front pocket of shirts but is popping out a lot. For the size, it's weight is very acceptable. I have yet to put sim card in it, because of no time.

BATTERY : Battery looks to be good. For 12 hours, I am using for Internet and Facebook with some short videos but still at 50 percent.

SPEAKERS : Speakers are placed above and below. Good position of speakers. They are not very loud but acceptable. The position is better than on the back.

CAMERA : I took some photos in the room with light. They are acceptably bright. I didn't use outside.

As a whole it is a great device. I hope that somebody will make a TWRP recovery and will be having custom ROMs.

Ah, there are my pictures going...

Sup, @nickdollahz?

I had posted one picure on the frequencies in this thread before, but the posting wasn't published.

@apple2005

There is a workaround for your purchased apps from google play.

It's no big deal if you are rooted...

Regards

What frequencies are you using in your area? There is a lot of confusion as to what bands this bad boy truly supports.

are you serious?
i hve owned and still own many samsung devices, they have been dropped, survived a car crash and are mistreated on a daily basis.
until now, i have never seen any other device which took so much punishment and still worked.
the samsung build quality is very high.
if this coolpad is presumably better i wonder how they can make it so cheap.
