Problem is me hearing them, like I said old age sux and I have a hearing problem. Volume has to be cranked up or it's difficult.

In engineering mode, adjust audio > normal mode > sph.

Also, test it with someone who has good hearing to make sure there isn't actually an issue with the unit.

If changing the settings under sph doesn't help, you may have to use a headset/earbud headphones during your phone calls.

From what I have been able to learn AFTER purchasing the phone it has a problem with low volume and my hearing compounds the matter. Others have said it's OK but on the low side. Have switched to "outdoor" mode and it helps slightly but not all that much. Has to be a way in engineering mode to make the volume louder and I would guess it's in audio, speech enhancement. But, I am not going to play with it unless I know for certain that it will work. L

how do you go about changing the settings under sph?

Do as you did before in engineering mode, but only change as I stated in the post above. Change the levels to highest under each setting.
