RE: Please Help - Ulefone Tiger bricked - oleg01 - 2017-02-07 Hi, Well, I have tried live versions (booting from pendrives) of Slackware, Kali and Puppy Linux and all give the same error to the version described as 32 bit from that page. Installing a 64 bit Linux onto a 32 bit CPU is not possible I think, is it? Maybe an old linux version of the SP Tool from some repository could help... In any case I'll try to create a live Ubuntu on a pendrive and see if I have more luck Thanks! Do you have a friend with an up-to-date pc ? You could try SP Flash Tool in his/her pc. Please change pc as soon as possible. RE: Please Help - Ulefone Tiger bricked - oleg01 - 2017-02-07 Hi, That's another possibility, sure. In any case if the SP Tool always worked fine before when the phone "opened" the connection through the power button press and now it doesn't the problem lies on the phone. Or maybe you don't need to press the power button of the phone on a 64 bit computer with either Linux or Windows to start flashing? I do not know if the live versions of Linux are able to run well SP Flash Tool. I have installed Linux OS in a hard drive and Windows OS in another hard drive. SP Flash Tool on Linux OS needs a process of preparation. Do you have installed "Java SE Runtime Environment" ? Do you have installed "android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot" ? Do you have set the "51-android.rules" (51 on my distro) ? Do you have set "groupadd plugdev" and "useradd -G plugdev" ? Do you have installed "sudo apt-get install rar" and "sudo apt-get install unrar" ? Do you have installed "sudo apt-get install libusb-dev" ? Do you have set "chmod +x flash_tool" and "chmod +x flash_tool.sh" ? Do you have set "sudo gedit /etc/udev/rules.d/80-persistent-usb.rules" ? Do you have set "sudo gedit /etc/udev/rules.d/20-mm-blacklist-mtk.rules" ? Do you have set "ATTRS{idVendor}=="0e8d" ? Do you have set "ATTRS{idVendor}=="6000" ? Only after all these setting ... you will be able to start SP Flash Tool on Linux OS : cd Desktop cd SP_Flash_Tool_exe_Linux_vXYZ sudo ./flash_tool Keep in mind that "Miracle Box" is mostly used to make stock firmware. RE: Please Help - Ulefone Tiger bricked - oleg01 - 2017-02-07 Hi, Thanks a lot for the information!, ok, my first step will be to install ubuntu and then try to follow all the requirements in your post one by one. This looks promising , let's see if I'm able to do it. Thanks a lot! I have to update my thread about SP Flash Tool on Ubuntu. I will post all the detailed steps (in sequence). But you will need a pc with 64 bit CPU. RE: Please Help - Ulefone Tiger bricked - oleg01 - 2017-02-07 Hi, Ok, I have located your ubuntu post for future reference. I'm going to try to install ubuntu on pendrives (not live distros but real installations), 1 for 32 bits in case I can find an SP Tool that works on my CPU and another one a 64 bit to use at a friend's home. Afterwards I'll follow all your steps to make SP Tool work and let's see where I land. No hurry here, this is going to take a while ). Thank you very much for your great help!!! RE: Please Help - Ulefone Tiger bricked - Cleopatra - 2017-02-07 RE: Please Help - Ulefone Tiger bricked - oleg01 - 2017-02-07 Hi, Great!! I saw the updated instructions and I'll try to follow them to the best of my ability . Let's see how it goes. Thank you sooo much!!! RE: Please Help - Ulefone Tiger bricked - oleg01 - 2017-02-08 Hi, First of all, thanks a lot Cleopatra for your help and efforts I have installed the sp flash tool in Ubuntu 64 as per your tutorial (on a 64 bit cpu) and sadly the result is exactly the same as in windows, the phone gets detected by the OS but the flashing process never starts. Maybe it's a hardware problem, who knows. Thanks! |
