Which Chinese Android about $125 should I buy? - beckham9 - 2015-04-08 My requirements: *Good battery life (~1 -> 2 days) *3G/4G 900mhz Support *RAM and CPU that allows me to do multiple tasks (f.e. Internet browsing, Whatsapp and Music) *GPU with option to play latest mid games like GTA and Need For Speed *Good camera for pictures of my homeworks and of course max size 5" Should I buy Lenovo 780 or Redmi2 or other phone? RE: Which Chinese Android about $125 should I buy? - edcoolio - 2015-04-09 I've got to tell you that the price range is quite a constraint for your request. It is just expensive enough to start looking at very nice devices but inexpensive enough to bring up products like the THL 4000. Personally, at that price range and your requirements, I would look seriously at the Elephone P6000. There were some negatives to it which, from what I have read elsewhere, have been addressed. However, as with all China phone brands, the support from your supplier is very important "just in case". Here is the well done and very useful Gizbeat Review For those specs, you really cannot beat it. For the price, even better. Gearbest has an awesome sale on this HERE that is worth looking into. $113 bucks with coupon code GBEHP6000 at Gearbest.com The coupon was tested as good as of this writing. Happy hunting! NOTE: The review has this product with your required 900Mhz frequencies in 2G, 3G, and 4G. However, Gearbest.com has the 900Mhz frequencies listed in 2G and 4G with nothing listed for LTE at 900Mhz. I do not know which one is correct, so if anyone does, it would be nice to know! RE: Which Chinese Android about $125 should I buy? - GizBeat - 2015-04-10 I like the P6000, but the jerky scrolling on web pages and in games could be a deal killer. They've recently put out a Lollipop ROM for it too, but apparently it's currently full of bugs and I'd recommend staying away from that ROM at this point in time anyways. There's a solution for the jumpy scrolling on the KitKat ROM here: http://www.chinaphonearena.com/forum/Thread-Elephone-P6000-Fix-for-jumpy-scrolling It's a powerful phone at a great price. LTE is Band 1/3/7/20 (800/1800/2100/2600) according to Elephone. RE: Which Chinese Android about $125 should I buy? - edcoolio - 2015-04-10 Awesome updates to the review! Too bad the Lollipop ROM does not fix the jerky scrolling - it sounds like it adds problems rather than remove them. The fix you posted is great, but as usual, no guarantees. I 100% agree that for the price (assuming your frequency needs are met by the device), it is a very powerful device. Keep your powder dry and eyes open. RE: Which Chinese Android about $125 should I buy? - modestMouse - 2015-04-10 I can confirm the previously posted fix by Gizbeat is working on the stock KitKat ROM. My friend has P6000 and we tested today. Very easy to use. Just tap the button and boom. RE: Which Chinese Android about $125 should I buy? - beckham9 - 2015-04-11 So there's gonna be p6000 fixes for future in 5.0? RE: Which Chinese Android about $125 should I buy? - Sniper47 - 2015-04-11 There should be. I wouldn't worry about 5.0 when buying a phone anyways. KitKat is great. Jelly Bean is fine too. RE: Which Chinese Android about $125 should I buy? - beckham9 - 2015-04-11 how about screen protector? Can i get that somewhere in Europe? cuz of long shipping time.. RE: Which Chinese Android about $125 should I buy? - modestMouse - 2015-04-11 It should come with a screen protector. If not, it's very easy to cut one from a sheet.
