Kingzone K1 - Elusivo - 2014-05-15 So has anybody got the chance to try xposed framework and gravity box in this beast of a phone to see if it works? Me getting one is depending on whether it works or not. RE: Kingzone K1 - Elusivo - 2014-05-25 Well i got a kingzone k1, and xposed says kingzone k1 is indeed using aliyun OS... So i am not gonna install it since there's still no roms or cwm available to recover from a boot loop. I did a mtkdroidtools rom backup but I don't know if it really works as the last one I did of inew v3 wouldn't flash back to the phone giving some error. I do have the boot.img and recovery.img from the backup, can anybody do a cwm recovery if I provide those files? I tried them with mtkdroidtools to build a cwm recovery but it gave an error, maybe because this recovery is diferent than the 4.2.2 android, when we go into recovery we first have a list of choices asking if we want to go into recovery, fastboot, etc RE: Kingzone K1 - Sniper47 - 2014-05-25 You can remove xposed by running xposed uninstaller zip. It's copied to SD base upon install. I'm fairly sure CWM is required to run the uninstaller, but not positive. Have not tried it without CWM. Regardless, xposed likely won't run on Aliyun. Have you tried How do you like the phone otherwise? RE: Kingzone K1 - Elusivo - 2014-05-25 Hi ye, tks for that link, i was already trying as you posted :p I have now the cwm working ^^ but a bit annoyed tho as i already installed 2 kingzone rom updates and i only had a backup of the recovery from the 1st rom, they do OTA updates, and i didn't made a new recovery backup after the otas, now i don't know if those ota updates changed the recovery or not. But i suppose that 1st backup should be ok... The phone is great overall, but i will have to get a replacement as this phone has at least 1 dead pixel and the screen is a bit weird, it has some little lines, in a grid pattern, 20*12 all over the screen (240 of those tiny lines total), i am thinking it's a part of the touch screen sensor layer, on normal use you don't see it, but if the screen is all white or green for example it can be seen pretty easily which is very annoying, i took a pic of it here i read another report of the same in another kingzone k1, so dunno, it may be a feature but i don't like it. The phone gave me 27500 on antutu, 2GB ram version, but besides being just slightly faster on games than my previous inew v3, the phone overall feels less snappy than the inew v3, the camera is also less quality than the inew v3, altough the flash is better in the kingzone I like the aesthetics of this phone more than the inew v3 too, bigger screen and feels better in the hand, it is quite heavy tho, in the hand if feels almost double the weight of the inew v3. Battery is impossible to charge while in use, if using the phone, even when is connected to the wall charger, the percentage just keeps going down, and it only charges up to 4.1V instead of the normal 4.2, which means probably will reach 0% even faster than others. Also gets extremely hot playing games or intense use. Gps is ridiculous compared to inew v3, out of the box, put it out the window and in around 5s had a fix with some 6 satellites, almost instant. The inew took me like 15 mins to get a 1st fix. Sound is of better quality but a bit lower volume than the inew v3. If you have any questions about the phone i can answer. The android 4.3.9 also looks nice. Later i will try xposed after doing a cwm nackup if it doesn't work and if i have time before returning it, i will try to deodex the framework to see if then xposed will work. RE: Kingzone K1 - Sniper47 - 2014-05-25 1 dead pixel is well within even most top manufacturer's specs. 3 or 4 even should be acceptable. Yes that looks like the touchscreen grid in the photo. Charging up to 4.1 is not abnormal. That is only an estimate. Losing battery % during charging isn't so abnormal either... Depending on what you're doing. Especially with 1080p. Same goes for getting hot with intensive use or gaming. RE: Kingzone K1 - Elusivo - 2014-05-25 Ye, I know all that, but I just don't accept it. The lines I'm kinda ok with them cause most of the time I don't see them and unfortunately it may just be the way it is, and I had other phones that got almost as hot, but dead pixels and the battery not charging even with britghness at minimum and not doing nothing more than just web browsing is just too much. The only way to charge this phone is with the screen off, to me that's a faulty phone or battery, if that is normal then there's something very wrong with the phone industry... Just now typing this post with brightness on minimum and connected to the mains charger, the battery percentage went from 23 to 21, shouldn't it have been de other way around? lol RE: Kingzone K1 - nikstar - 2014-05-25 Maybe a higher mAh charger will do the work better. RE: Kingzone K1 - Sniper47 - 2014-05-25 (2014-05-25, 04:43)Elusivo Wrote: Ye, I know all that, but I just don't accept it.Depends what you're going while it charges. Intensive use eg. gaming on a 5.5" 1080p phone will give about 2-3 hours use. Typically it takes about 3.5 hours to charge a 2000mA battery. Without any other calculations, it's obvious what that means. If relatively light use, eg. Typing a post, yes a decent phone with a proper charging system should go up and not down. I think nikstar made a good suggestion... See if a different charger and cable yields different results. RE: Kingzone K1 - Elusivo - 2014-05-25 I have tried the phone's own charger and a samsung charger, both rated at 5V 1A, dun have higher than 1A atm. Also tried on computer usb, this with 2 different cables that never failed me with the inew v3, they all behave in same way. This is what I get while not charging and just looking at the mtk engineer tools power screen: ADC_Charger_VoItage :[520 ]mV Power_0n_VoItage :[3400 ]mV Power_Off_VoItage :[3400 ]mV Charger_TopOff_VaIue :[4110]mV FG_Battery_Currentconsumption:[ 450 ]mA And this is what I get while connected to both chargers: ADC_Charger_VoItage :[4437 ]mV Power_0n_VoItage :[3400 ]mV Power_Off_VoItage :[3400 ]mV Charger_TopOff_VaIue :[4110]mV FG_Battery_Currentconsumption:[ 98.8 ]mA -> this jumps to 200mV with brightness on max. So from what I understand, dun have the inew to compare anymore, is that even while charging the battery is losing almost 100mA? It should be negative, unless engineering mode doesn't read things that way... Even if those 100mA were being fed to the batery and not taken, 450mA while in use plus those 100mA would be less than the 1A which the chargers are able to output... And couldn't they have set the topoff charge at 4.2v? that's the value printed on the battery itself... Anyway, again, while typing this post, charge dropped from 82% to 80 while connected to original charger. lol worst charging circuit I ever saw in a phone, and I thought samsung ones were bad :p sorry for what i thought of you before samsung :p Btw Sniper47, nikstar, u ever saw a phone that loses battery % with screen on lowest brightness and just typing a post? lol hell even if it was maximum brightness, it should never lose battery while connected to charger and doing minimal stuff... RE: Kingzone K1 - Sniper47 - 2014-05-25 The output has little to do with what the battery and charging system will actually accept. My phones charge no faster on a 350mA compared to 1A. The charging system needs to be set up to receive more juice, otherwise it makes no difference. Don't think I'm not agreeing with you. Yes, if on minimal brightness and just writing a post, a decent phone should be increasing juice while charging. Just a my opinion that the phone was not a good choice. It's a new brand with no track record. I'd have recommended THL T11 iOcean or Jiayu in that price range. I know that doesn't help the situation. But perhaps for future consideration. |
