[Innos D6000] Recommended update method - MegaManX - 2015-10-31 For now, if you want/need gapps, here is how I do it and it's worked great for me. If you do it right, you will be able to restore your phone back to how it was, gapps and all. I know, it looks like a lot. It's just a lot of little steps.
Don't be scared to hit the +rep button if this helped you. If you have any questions, don't be shy. By the way, things would be ***infinitely*** easier if they'd provide a single combined system.img. If anyone knows a way to successfully combine all those little system.img parts into a single one, that would make our process 1000x easier. RE: [Innos D6000] Recommended update method - MegaManX - 2015-11-08 Whether it was because I didn't know about it, or because it didn't exist at the time I made this guide, I'm not sure. Well, anyways the reason I did it this way is because the OTA incremental package failed. Probably because I flashed temporary twrp and gapps on there. I wasn't aware there was a full SD flash ROM available too. I thought there was just the incremental OTA and QFIL PC Flash ROM. Since them I've found out, that at least for v2.5, there's also a full SD flash ROM. So that will save you this whole procedure as I outlined above. RE: [Innos D6000] Recommended update method - tommycc2244 - 2015-11-08 so there is much easier way to install v2.5 with gapps and all? RE: [Innos D6000] Recommended update method - MegaManX - 2015-11-08 If you already on 5.1, just copy full SD update ROM to SD card and do through stock recovery. Then use temporary TWRP to flash gapps. RE: [Innos D6000] Recommended update method - tommycc2244 - 2015-11-11 im still on v5.0.2. baseband version: M8939AAAAANLYD2134.1_V1.1 D6000_rom_common_v1.1 so I must PC flash v2.1 and then sd flash v2.5? but really im still working out if upgrading to v2.5 is actually better than staying on v1.1 with just root... isn't there a worse battery use profile with v2.5.? RE: [Innos D6000] Recommended update method - MegaManX - 2015-11-11 According to @jccodina in this post: He says he did it with SD from 5.0.2. Common. I think this originally was that they didn't release and SD Update ROM from 5.0.2, so it was thought it wasn't possible. But now they do have it and it seems to be possible. My opinion is it's a much worse battery profile. Internal will go through many more cycles and you need to open the phone to change the internal and who knows what else. Maybe the thing's glued in there or whatever. I can't even find them for sale anywhere. My opinion is just stay on that ROM unless it's got some problem. All these new versions sometimes cause more issues than they solve. RE: [Innos D6000] Recommended update method - tommycc2244 - 2015-11-12 yeah, it's nice to know you can flash update to v2.5 just using the phone without using a PC.
