Hello caim, as far as I know, there's no easy way to undervolt or overclock MTK phones. You can try a CPU control app to adjust frequencies if you're rooted, but I'm doubting that will help.
Where do you live? What's your ambient temperature?
42 is not too bad for CPU or battery temps. Yes, cooler is better, but your phone should last a long while at regular and steady temps like that.

If rooted try no frills cpu control from market, to lower cpu.
If you use my scripts or work in your own scripts, your scripts or license should reflect that.
