hi guys ive introduced myself once but the post seems not to be there, so here we go again, buying a Star N9800 Smart Phone 5.7 Inch and will need to root it to remove spyware.... looking to get involved where i can but have no knowledge but will try to do my best ... happy chatting

Hmm.. Welcome here. There are several tutorials in the tutorial section. Knowledgeable users normally suggest trying framaroot first then vroot. They are in the root tools section.

Be careful what you remove and make sure there's a backup or full stock ROM available for your phone before you modify it at all.

thanks for the advice i will be asking questions in the correct places (i think) as i dont want to break and forum rules etc etc....

Check [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] on how to make a good backup (using the readback flashtools method) even before trying to root your phone can save you a lot of lost time and agony.

haha soz got the wrong end of the stick!!!
some say taht spyware is not on so many phones now but i will run antivirus and see whats it comes back with..

Did that all find and have a new ROM on it 4.4.2
