i recently sold my LG Motion. now i am looking to upgrade... but on a tight budget (under $200). more money i can save, the better.
i am looking towards an i9500 s4 clone from PriceAngels. after watching a good youtube review and reading several comments, it looks promising.
the phone itself sports these specs:
cpu: MTK 6589
ram: 512mb DDR3
and it is only $130. seems like a great deal, but i am new to the chinese phone market and don't really have any experience dealing with them. it does come preloaded with google play, seems a lot of them do not.
any advice/help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!

Stay away. There's no way I could recommend a 512mb phone with that kind of budget. It's also a bit strange to see MTK6589 with only 512. No to say they don't exist, but it's odd.
The other thing it has going against it - it's a generic s4 clone. You will likely see very little developement or support for the phone. In addition, If something goes bad or you need some replacement part, you're likely screwed.
Look at THL w100 for sub $150. In the just under $200 range - Hero h7500+, iOcean x7 Youth, or THL w8.

i kind of put the phone on hold for a moment. i only had $150 til payday (damn bi-weekly paychecks!).
i went on and bought a hi-sense sero 7 pro from walmart. only cost me $125. and the specs are super sexy. quad core with tegra 3.
i'll be saving up a little bit for a decent phone. might still look in the chinese market though, the value just seems way better than the US market.

For those reading this that may not know, the Hi Sense 7 Sero Pro is a tablet, not a phablet/phone. I don't know if I'd call it sexy, but still a decent choice for a budget tablet.
